Jim Compton
Jim is the President and Principal Producer of Wabung Anung. He began his career in media as a journalist for the CBC / Manitoba Television Network. He was Special Projects Officer for the Royal Commission on Aboriginal Peoples, and one of the founders of the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network (APTN) where he also served as a member of the Southern Advisory Council, Broadcast Journalism Instructor for the Aboriginal Broadcast Training Initiative and Director of Programming and Executive Producer. Jim was a Director/Producer for Indian Cultural Education (I.C.E.) Productions and later Director of Independent Production and Executive Producer at Chum Television. Jim is a proud member of the Keeseekoose First Nation in Saskatchewan and owns Rising Day Media, which is a parent company of Wabung Anung.
Jeremy Edwardes
Jeremy is VP and the Executive Producer in charge of sales and distribution. He was born in England and grew up in Montreal in the 60s, where he appeared on stage and television. He toured in the 70s with the National Theatre School. His whole life, he has been exploring the meeting place between art and technology. Jeremy studied Painting and Sculpture at the Alberta College of Art and has diplomas in Integrated and New Media from the Ontario College of Art and Design. He has been producing for film and television for over 25 years and as a producer he has received many international awards including an Oscar for Best Animated Short Film in 2005.
R. Todd Ivey
Todd is VP and the Executive Producer in charge of production administration for Wabung Anung’s various productions. He grew up in Toronto and began his first career in graphic design and then founded a computer animation company in Toronto. This led to a pivot to film and television with the incorporation of Coptor, first as a post-production service provider and then as a content producer. Coptor’s first independent production was Raising Valhalla, a documentary about the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts. Over the years, Todd has added accounting and web design to his repertoire. He is an active philanthropist and acquired his private pilot’s license in the late 1990s.
